During the Spring Equinox, the number of daylight hours is equal to the number of nighttime hours. In other words, dark and light are in equal proportions on this day. Spring is the direction East on the Medicine Wheel, is marked by the Maiden archetype and the Air element. Innocence, playfulness, new beginnings, fertility and bird medicine all are aspects that are celebrated during this time of year. Bringing ritual back to our culture, we will gather in the Tipi during this auspicious time of balance between light and dark as they pertain to our own lives.
