The longest day of light in the Northern Hemisphere, the Summer Solstice is a potent time to gather with like-minded women in sacred space to give thanks to the tremendous light that blesses our lives, and to honor the turning of the earth toward the darker half of the year. Summer is the direction South on the Medicine wheel, marked by the Mother archetype and the Fire element. All of these aspects are important to honor during this time. We will do this through meditation and ritual during this ceremony in circle in the Tipi.
